Product Review: Dr Jart + Water Fuse Hydro Soothe Eye Gel

Hello Dearies,

I hope you all have had an awesome start to your work week! I am back this week with another product review on a kind of new skincare item. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know that one of my favorite things to review is actually skin care items. I tend to change it depending on what my skin needs and the season.

Now that we’re definitely into much cooler weather, my under eye area needs something that will actually pack a whole lot of moisture. So after doing much browsing on the Sephora website, I decided to purchase the Dr. Jart + Water Fuse Hydro Soothe Eye Gel.

The price for this is $42 for 0.7oz or 20 grams of product. Now, according to the Sephora website the gel-like consistency product is good for pretty much all skin types. It also states that this is a cooling eye cream that relieve puffiness and wakes up tired looking eyes.

Since I work overnight, a normal sleep night consists of around 4 to 5 hours. So finding a product that can perk up my skin and de-puff my eye contour are is super important! Now getting into the gritty details, the gel-like cream feels nice and cooling once you apply it to your eye area. There is no smell that I could pick up. Now, word of warning, if you use some sort of oil-based serum before you put on this product…this is going to peel. Simply because this is a water-based and naturally oil and water do not mix… so it will cause some flaking. Probably will do the same thing if you use an oil-based concealer. So unfortunately, you’ll want to check the ingredients because flaking could happen.

If you suffer from dry skin, this will definitely pack a punch of moisture that your skin will soak up. My eye-contour area did feel nice and hydrated. Apart from the random flaking (again oil and water reaction) I enjoyed the product. Is it for all skin types? I don’t think so—I would actually recommend this to people with dry skin. Now that we are in winter and skin tends to dry—I think this would be a good product to try. Maybe ask for a sample first and see how your skin reacts to it especially under makeup.

That’s all I have for today! Please check back because I will another product review coming up this time on a new moisturizer that I am completely loving!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Until next time—much love as always,

-Kat
